Flower Fairy Quilt

This is a quilt that I made for a cousin's little girl.  I found these lovely Michael Miller Flower Fairy fabric panels and when I showed them to her she loved them!

I used a pink fabric for the border and a pink fabric with white flowers on it for the backing.  The pink really made the veriegated thread that I used pop.

When I put the quilt on my frame.  I decided to try a free-handed pansy and swirl pattern that was similar to one I watched on my Handi Quilter dvd.  I used a variegated thread and just went with it.

I love the way that the quilting on this one turned out!

This is a close-up of one of my favorite fairies on the quilt.  It also shows more of the pansies swirling around the blocks.

I am pretty proud of this quilt.  I want to try another one for fall with another set of fairies that I have.

Hope you enjoy!
